DevOps Specialist

Koverse is looking for Developer Operations Specialists to create and maintain the systems and services required to operate the Koverse platform. As a Development Operations Specialist you will be a critical part of the development and operations process, developing and supporting product test and build tools and environments. You will work closely with the development and support teams to ensure efficiency in the build and test process.

As a Developer Operations Specialist your responsibilities will include:
• Understand ongoing build and test requirements for the Koverse platform
• Create, deploy and maintain build and test tools and environments
• Ensure consistency between development, test and build environments
• Drive release management for both Software-as-a-Service and on premise offerings
We are looking for the following technical experience:

• Demonstrated experience creating modules in Puppet, Chef or similar tool
• Experience configuring and using CI tools such as Jenkins or Hudson
• Past experience creating and maintaining projects in Maven
• Experience managing AWS EC2 instances
• Proficiency with IPv4, including IP network troubleshooting and DNS
• Linux administration, including security
• RDBMS administration experience, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience using Bash, Perl, Python or similar scripting language

In addition you should have the following:

• 4+ years professional experience in software engineering, systems engineering or similar field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-starter who can work as part of a virtual team
• Strongly detail oriented
• Outstanding organizational skills
• BA or BS in a technical field of study

Sr. Software Engineer

Koverse is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to create and implement new features and functionality in our platform. You will work closely with product management to design and build features, and with support engineering to ensure ease of deployment. You will be coding and testing, as well as ensuring the accuracy of documentation. Additionally, you will periodically work directly with customers to test new functionality and troubleshoot issues.

As a Software Developer your responsibilities will include:
• Design, implement and test new features
• Interface with data APIs
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Integrate various system components
We are looking for the following technical experience:

• Strong Java skills
• Experience building on Apache Hadoop
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases, preferably NoSQL databases
• Good understanding of hardware and developing for optimal performance
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Working knowledge of Git and Jira

• 8+ years software development experience

Solutions Engineer

Koverse is looking for Solutions Engineers who can work directly with customers during the post-sales process to help ensure smooth deployment of the Koverse platform. This includes hands-on support for setup, developing and implementing customizations, working with Support to understand and troubleshoot issues, and participate in customer training.

These positions will include frequent travel.

As a Solutions Engineer your responsibilities will include:
• Participate in deployment and implementation planning with customers
• Directly assist with setup of the Koverse platform
• Spec, build, test and deploy product customizations based on customer requirements
• Produce customer documentation to support customizations
• Assist in customer training
• Partner with Support to troubleshoot issues
• Be an active member of the sales process as required
We are looking for the following technical experience:

• Application development in either Java or HTML and JavaScript
• Experience writing scripts using Bash, Perl or similar scripting language
• Demonstrated knowledge of writing and implementing Puppet scripts
• Working knowledge of RDBMS systems
• Familiarity with Hadoop

In addition you should have the following:

• 4+ years professional experience as a systems engineer, sales engineer or similar role
• Excellent written communication skills, including technical documentation
• Proven exceptional oral communication skills
• Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with customers
• Self-starter who can work as part of a virtual team
• Strongly detail oriented
• Outstanding organizational skills
• BA or BS in a technical field of study
